One Step

One step is a decent sanitizer. I have never had an infection using it, but it is very hard to dissolve in water. You must add it very slowly and stir vigorously, otherwise you will end up with a lot of undissolved material at the bottom of your container.

What I have read on this product it turns into hydrogen peroxide which in turn will turn into water. No need to rinse just mix one tablespoon per gallon of water.

In ten years, no infections using One Step and my corny kegs stay clean, tubes and all!

I have been using one step for 9 years and never had any problems or infections.

I use standard off the shelf Oxy Clean and/or bleach for all my cleaning and sanitizing.......except my kegs. I've found that one step is the only true "tasteless" cleaner, no residue, safe on SS, and I've never had an issue using it. I would like to see a better size choice, like 1 lb or so.

I've been using One Step since my first batches with a Mr. Beer kit. They included a wee packet of it for every batch. When I made the step up to real homebrewing, it only made sense to use something I knew. In all the batches I've made since, One Step has provided me with a reliable sanitzer that never affects the beer's flavor. As in, it has never came through in the beer, and it has always kept bacteria and other nasties out of my beer. Never an off flavor using One Step.

Use One Step for cleaning all of my brewing equipment and kegs/tubing/etc. As a beer competition judge, have never detected any sanitizer aftertaste with this product. It does the job on preventing infection, coupled with good technique.

Great product. I've had very good luck with cleaning carboys, bottles and pretty much anything else involved in wine making without any problems. As long as the water is fairly hot the stuff dissolves no problem. Wish it came in a slightly larger amounts though.

This stuff came with my first beer kit and I have been using it ever since. I like that it is so simple, safe and compact. The small starter container seemed to last forever with frequent use. All my brews have been coming out great.

I've tried Idaphor and this product and I prefer this product. Very easy to use and store. I have never had any infections thus far (knocks on wood). I highly recommend this product.
