During the last couple months of cool weather in early 2012, I brewed two 5 gal. batches of Munich Helles style lagers taking advantage of the cool lagering room in my basement. Now April 2012 and I have one of the batches ready to drink. All I can say is wow! I haven't been to Germany since 2005 and I miss the many varieties of beer. This Weyermann Pilsner Malt hit the spot for me. Great malty flavor. Looking forward to repeat performance next winter.

This is a very nice Pilsner malt - easily converted, consistent and a smooth flavor. You can't go wrong with W if you're looking for a good example of German Pils at a decent price.

I bought 25kg of this to make a Saigon, kolsch and octoberfest. All three turned out great! This has a great flavor and is perfect for any European lager.

Great malty flavor, especially in lagers. Much preferred over the American variety.

Better tasting than the American Pilsner malt

Great flavor.
I conducted two taste tests pitting this malt against the American Pilsner, and in both cases this one won. It costs more, but it's still inexpensive and comes to a few bucks extra per brew.

I recently purchased 10 lbs of this malt (MW gives you additional savings for bulk purchases) for my witbier. On brewday I crunched on a couple of the grain kernels and you can tell immediately the taste is great! The witbier is currently in the secondary but preliminary tasting during the transfer is hinting a great beer. The color was perfect and the malt flavor adds to the complexity along with the clove from the yeast.
