Back in Black

The suave look of a black bottle top crowning a dark amber bottle full of the good stuff is a sight to behold.
However, the real reason I am investing in colored caps is to distinguish my brews without a label. Works well for the occasional brewer!

I am not sure if this is the case with the other caps, but black tends to scratch fairly easily while in the packaging. I am just using to distinguish between types of beer and it gets poured in a glass anyway so not a big deal. Otherwise they do the trick

all comes down to color. Black looks good on brown bottles. make sure to sanitize only what you bottle bottle with. Once they get wet and you dont use them the caps are worthless.

I brew about 20 different beers each year. Having two kinds of bottles and 10 color caps allows me to keep track without labels. Don't know what I would be drinking without this system. I even post a chart so my friends and family know what they are getting.

They seal well, no leaks, keeps my beer carbonated and fresh. I like the wide variety of colors, so I can easily distinguish my beers.
They go on easy with the Red baron capper.

These do the trick. I like having a variety of caps that match the labels I have created for different brews. The only thing I could say, which I don't think can really be helped, is the couple of scratches that occur while the caps are in their packaging.

These caps seal fine, no problems.I have a bag of each color. I like to color code my beers, so I know whats in the bottle on the shelf. Yellow is Pale ale, Orange is Amber, Red is IPA, Blue is Belgian, Gold is wheat, Green I use for unusual or one offs.

Paint Chipped Some with Red Barron Capper

Some caps (not all) had paint chip off during the installation process. Not enough to ruin the appearance or anything like that, but noticeable in some cases. Ended up giving these bottles as Christmas gifts and nobody noticed or commented. Otherwise, same quality cap as the non-colored versions.
