beats the Therminator

My brewing buddy has one of these and we compared it to the Therminator and it won. This will chill your wort to within several degrees of your ground water. Given it's size I recommend using a pump and not relying on gravity. This thing is a monster and can handle the faster flow rate. At the same time you need common sense. If your ground water is 80 degrees your wort will get chilled down to the low 80's, you are not going to magically get 68 degree wort. What you can do is recirculate the wort back into the kettle so its 90ish, then attach the pump to chilled water.

The fastest cooling I've experienced

This is a beast, its heavy and will easily chill your wort if you have a pump and cool water. The only downside is cleaning as you have to flush and back flush a few times to get out any particles. Then run PBW through it. And soak it in Star San before using.

I use a pump to feed through the chiller and it works unbelievably. Chills your wort faster then anything I have ever seen. Treat it right and it will last for a long time making it well worth the investment. They are built really well so just a matter of cleaning them good. When using a pump and some quick connects it only takes a few seconds to reverse the flow a few times to clean out.
I have heard of people gravity feeding through but the issue is always how to clean it out after.
Highly recommend this AND a pump.

Colder than the North Pole. Using cold tap water I can chill my wort as fast as I can pump it. My ground water was around 50 and I pumped out 10 gallons of wort in 6 minutes and over chilled it. I had to keep my buckets in the kitchen for a few hours to warm up to fermentation temperatures. (I have to get the Thrumometer so that doesn't happen again)
