Tastes Great Review by Wes

Product Rating:

This is my 2nd batch and it turned out great. Doubled the suggested pumpkin and added a bit more spices and brown sugar. Definitely a crowd pleaser.

Product Rating:

This beer was delicious and powerful! I added a full bottle of vanilla vodka to the mix during bottling. Added a great flavor to the pumpkin and spice flavors. I used 45 oz of canned pumpkin, next time I'll double that amount to 90 oz.

10 days primary, 10 days secondary, 4 weeks bottle.
I plan on getting this in the bucket around May to have it ready and aged for October.

Good but mild Review by Sample

Product Rating:

I used 2 pumpkins and even then it was mild. I added a little more spice and half a pound of brown sugar. I sampled it before racking from the primary and it tasted like pumpkin pie. It sat in primary for 2 weeks, then in the secondary for 2 more, before it was kegged. Good beer but still not a strong pumpkin flavor.

Good to the last drop Review by METAIRIEBREWER

Product Rating:

I brewed this kit a couple months ago for the first time and was pleased with the results. The pumpkin aroma from the poured beer is most pronounced. If the desired outcome is a stronger spice presence then increasing the spices over the amount provided in the kit would be suggested, but this kit as is produces a really good beer without being overpowering.

From Halloween through the Christmas holidays this is a flavorful beer to have on tap for your guests. The hint of pumpkin was just enough to enjoy with ease.

Great Fall Beer Review by Graham

(Posted on 12/25/13)

Product Rating:

I brewed this kit with an addition of some all spice and cloves in a muslin bag for the final 10 minutes of the boil. I also added 1kg of honey to add some extra sweetness and ABV. It tastes great! The spices needed to clam and develop, but once they matured, the flavor of this beer is outstanding. My friends and family are raving about it, and are highly encouraging me to brew this again before spring. I might have to take them up on the offer.

A nice seasonal beer Review by Dobson

I've made this a few years in a row and always enjoy making it and drinking it. I varied the recipe. I used canned pumpkin that I browned in the oven. This gives the otherwise mild pumpkin a little more flavor.

Pumpkin! Review by Dan

Product Rating:

A buddy of mine gave me this kit as a gift. I deviated slightly from the recipe by adding more brown sugar (24 oz more to be exact). It turned out much like I expected. It tastes like a pumpkin ale. I only wish I would have brewed it sooner than October 4th so it would be good and ready to drink by Halloween. I'll give it another shot next year for sure!

My Favorite Pumpkin Beer! Review by Jason O

(Posted on 12/4/13)

Product Rating:

I couldn't find a pumpkin beer I really enjoyed, so I made my own! I used about 90oz of canned pumpkin, and added an extra half tablespoon of cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger. The taste was heavy on pumpkin, and the finish had a hint of spice to it. Will DEFINITELY brew again!

Delicious! Review by Mike J

I got this recipe so I would have it done and sitting long enough before October. I would say it turned out very tasty. I used 45 ounce pure pumpkin and added extra nutmeg, cinnamon and cloves. It didn't turn out quite spicy enough but still good. Next time I brew this I will try it with pumpkin pie filling liked others suggested. I lost about 1 gallon as others did to pumpkin "waste".
