Very pricey but a good idea.
I damaged the racking adaptor before I got it installed. The extension where the snap ring fits could be a little longer and larger in diameter. There is not much material left beyond the slots. I broke one side off and I could see it happen to anyone when forcing a tube on the simple flow valve. I'll probably loop a string around the bottle to be sure the valve doesnt push out.
That being said, I intend to buy another bottle with one installed

It's less expensive for you to buy the Better Bottle (5 or 6 gallon) that comes with these. They are very useful, so why not get them from the start?
