Raspberry Wheat Beer Kit

Brewed this beer using oregan raspberry puree plus the extract that it comes with. The beer was delish. It was very popular at our house and our stock didn't last long!

This Raspberry Wheat is a keeper! The batch only lasted about 1 week in my house!! My wife loved it and my Dad commented that it was better than most beers you can get commercially. This will definitely become a regular purchase for me!!

Second batch I brewed and turned out great. It had a "hint" of Rasberry flavor and not overpowering. It did not last long so have to order another kit.

My nephew Joe brewed a batch of this and as soon as I tasted it I place my order! This is a very tasty brew with the right hint of raspberry ! I bet I will be brewing more than one of these!

Came out great, but too much raspberry flavor. Next time I'll use half the amount of extract.

I also add the Oregon Raspberry Puree into the secondary fermentor with this beer. Also added 3/4 of the extract at bottling. Tasted it for the first time last night after sitting in the bottle for 1 month. It is exactly as I expected. Good raspberry flavor, low bitterness, slightly sour aftertaste from the puree, and a deep brownish-red color. Very tasty.

I'm new to brewing and this was my second batch but my 1st batch purchased from Midwest. This wheat had a vigorous fermentation for 1 week +, good carbonation and great flavor. I used the liquid yeast and I will never buy dry again. My wife loved it an so did my friends who really were not too impressed w/ my 1st batch which was weak on the carbonation. I will buy again.

This was my third kit from Midwest Supply. I added 3/4 of the extract given with the kit. I personally think I should of added it all. My wife thinks its perfect the way it is.
It has a very very light berry taste. Very smooth drinking beer.

This has been the best beer I have made yet. It was such a big hit I buying two more kits.

I helped a friend brew this when she selected it as her first brew. It sounded great! I love wheat beer, love raspberries, what could go wrong? Well, no raspberries is what went wrong. The kit brewed up very well - gravity measurements were right on the money. The raspberry flavored additive that comes with the kit, however, tastes like artificial flavoring, not raspberries. I would recommend selling fruit beer kits with the genuine fruit instead of this flavoring agent. Luckily my friend really is enjoying her beer, but I won't buy anything with "flavoring" again.
