IN STORE special only

The only reason this got 1 star on value, the golden ticket is ONLY an instore special. I didnt know this until i recieved my kit and it looked like someone opened it already. So I called the always helpfull crew at midwest supllies and then they let me know it was an IN STORE SPECIAL. I am still pleased with every other transaction here I just wish that there was a disclaimer posted that this is not an online thing, only an in store special.
Editor's Note: Golden Tickets can be redeemed by any order. We have since given Adam his $10 Gift Certificate.

I've been really impressed with this brew, even after only two weeks in the bottle. I ended up dry hopping this in the primary 3 days before bottling using 1 oz Centennial pellet hops. Nice color and good pale ale, no complaints from me.

Just had my first few glass of this brew from keg and all I can say is WOW! This is my 8th extract kit from midwest and feel this was the best beer I made yet. I never had a rye pa before and after reading reviews of founders red rye pa I was alittle nervous that the beer would have a strong citrusy/grapefruit taste kinda like celebration ale from Sierra nevada. It does have a little grapefruit but very lite and pleasant. Very refreshing beer and plan on making another batch soon. Maybe that one will have the winning ticket.
PS I ordered the kit online and their was a letter saying I didn't win so it seems that this isnt a IN STORE and you will still have a chance for the golden ticket if ordered online.

this was my 4th different ipa kit from midwest (english 20 min ipa, fuggles ipa, and simcoe select ipa were the first 3) and finally i received a true ipa kit from them when the first 3 failed to even qualify in the category. this was an excellent brew, but average ipa. i say that because i'm an ipa nut. this was somewhat like redhook's ipa. i was ready to throw away my brewing equipment, but this one actually saved me from having to spend extra cash with another company on new brew equip. i was so pleased with this one that i ordered two more kits of it.

I bought this kit on a whim wishing to get the Golden ticket, and was
greattly surprised as to how good this beer turned out!I gave some out
to friends and they were impressed.Has a great copper color with
a darker head and a nice hop foward taste and nose. The use of rye
really adds a great twist.I was asked to put this in a local contest
and may consider to do so!Very recomended!

If you're not an IPA drinker and have been put off by them in the past, the Red RyePA deserves a second look. The rye works wonders in balancing the bitterness. With a BU:GU of 1.25 you'd think it would make you pucker like crazy, but instead it just tastes full bodied and entices you with layers of flavor. Buy it & brew it, don't think twice.

2nd batch of homebrew ever, and I won the Golden Ticket! SafeAle US 05 @ 73-74*F, 1 week primary 1 week secondary 3 week bottle. Hoppy like most micro's IPA's with the welcome addition of Rye at the end. Head seems light and fluffy and sticks all the way down the sides of a Pilsner Glass. It's a Keeper!
