I use this for making apfelwine, and it always comes out perfect. Dry and crisp like it should be, plus for such short money, its a no brainer!

Nice Dry Product Review by gaiawolf

Product Rating:

We used this yeast with a concord grape wine and an apple wine. Both have turned out pretty good, a bit too dry for my significant other though. I enjoy them both. Active yeast started to bubble in the starter within a couple of hours, I am happy with this product.

Berry fines Review by Anthony

Product Rating:

I've had good luck with this yeast when making berry wines. I get full attenuation and the wine is good. It may smell a little while fermenting, but the final wine has no hint of off flavors.

Worked to make Edwort's Apfelwein. Super easy and tasty. Chugged right along and made a clear wine.

I use this yeast for fruit wines. I've made Raspberry and Blackberry wines that were pretty good. If it gets stuck I add in some energizer and that seems to help

Worked Great! Review by Loonypat

Product Rating:

Started out with two 1-gallong batches of wine. One Strawberry and one Blackberry. We cracked open bottles each last weekend (started in November). They were a big hit. I used the Montrachet yeast in both. I prefer the Blackberry and am getting ready to make a larger batch using this yeast. Worked quite well.

Lifesaver Review by Randy

Product Rating:

I used this as a last attempt to get a Pinto Noir kit to ferment. I had pitched EC-1118 twice to no avail. Made a starter with this adding a bit of must every 30 minutes and added to the bucket. Less than 24 hours later was chugging along. Gravity down to 1.050 in about 3 days. Was a lifesaver for me.
