Value Quality Price Great product, works as advertised (and much better than my heating pad!).
I was questionable about the quality when it seemed to just be laminated heating elements.
However, it works great, and keeps a great temperature. I have to monitor it to ensure that it doesn't get too hot (81 degrees Fahrenheit was the max it seemed to achieve, and I was keeping my mixture around 80 degrees), though this would be something that would solve itself if I had a proper system to monitor the temperature. Perhaps I'll plunk some cash down on that in the future.(Posted on 4/30/12)

Price Value Quality When you spend between 3-6 hours and $25 dollars or more per batch of beer, fermentation flaws can be a real downer. Whether it results in a drainpour, off-flavors or just not getting the consistent profile you're desiring in your beer, this product helps a great deal. Just combine it with a thermowell and temperature controller and you can enjoy quality, consistent beers that rival or exceed craft examples. Any homebrewer can make a delicious wort. But one who invests in something like this will maintain a greater control over the brewing process after the yeast is pitched.
