Value Quality Price This is the first time I've brewed from a kit like this. It has almost everything. I'm still on the secondary fermentation, so I haven't tried everything. I bought a wine thief, and a drill attachment for removing the gas bubbles. I also bought some potassium metabisulfite to use as preservative and sanitizer. I also bought some extra bottles. The Vintner's Reserve Merlot was chosen for the wine ingredients. I tasted the wine when I moved to secondary, and it already tastes pretty good. I'll try to corker later, but may end up getting a better one later on.

Price Value Quality I'm so excited to be starting this hobby and this is the perfect kit to get started. I opted for the glass carboy and didn't upgrade the corker or the siphon (I figure I can get a little taste that way). I agree with the previous review that a wine thief should be included and maybe some of those stick on thermometers (I went out and got those while my wine (Riesling) is in the primary fermenter. I can't wait to taste my first batch!

Price Value Quality This is a great starter kit. I just purchased last month and have my first batch in the secondary as we speak. It does need to include some extras even though it would up the price. This is the lowest price I have seen for such a great starter kit. A few things I would say this kit should also include would be: wine thief, thermometer (as you need to keep a close eye on the temperature throughout the process of making your wine), and an auto-siphon would be great but not necessary for a starter kit really even though I went out and got one. Not sure how the wine is going to turn out but I hope it turns out great! I started this kit with a white Zin.
