Sodium Metabisulfite

I can measure the exact quantity I need instead of splitting tablets. But you will need a very precise scale to do this, accurate to 1/100 of a gram. Accuracy to one gram is not good enough.

I use it to remove Chloramine from my brewing water which unlike Chlorine will not evaporate within a reasonable time. I measure it on my scale that I use to weight grain, no problems.

The water here contains Chloramine. I use Sodium Metabisulfite to remove it so it doesn't affect the taste of my beer. Just add it to the brewing water before you begin heating, and the Chloramine has broken down by the time you get to mashing temperature.

I use this product exclusively for sanitizing all of my wine equipment and have never had any problems. Product is reasonably priced especially in the larger quantity. I have to wear gloves however as this stuff irritates my skin when mixed into a solution.

As said in another review, can be irritating to the skin.
Usable both to sanitize as well as kill "wild yeast"
Buy in bulk to get "more for your money."
