Used with the Stainless Steel Male Quick Disconnect these quick disconnects seal up very well in either flow direction, without a lot of work in connecting them. These feature a 1/2" Male National Pipe Thread on the outer ends for easy connectivity to almost anything. Made from 304 stainless steel. The quick disconnect will hold pressure for brewing applications when moving liquids at 60 psi or less.

Note: These disconnects cannot be combined with any of our other styles of quick disconnects.

Kind of pricey, but definitely worth it. They make switching hoses between kettles/pumps so much simpler. Only real concern is sanitation, just make sure you clean them well.

I use with both Stainless Steel Male Quick Disconnects1/2" and 3/8" Barbs.

I recently upgraded my full brewing system at the house (7-gallon 2-cooler all-grain kit, brewpot, & therminator chiller) with Midwest's quick-disconnect fittings.

The overall setup, transitions, and breakdown of my kit is SO much quicker now. Most especially on the therminator where the hose & wort fittings are pretty close together...now it's all snap-click and done!

The fittings are good quality, heavy stainless steel. They feel like they'll last a lifetime. They also seal falwlessly. Not a drop leaks out during flow (which is a problem I've had with other QD fittings).

Fantastic product. Upgrade your kit and shave time off your brew-day.

It's expensive but I think it's worth it. It's so much easier switching hoses between chillers and pumps and pots. I use it with the Stainless Steel Male Quick Disconnect 1/2" and 3/8" Barbs.

These have been a great additional. Using a pump and plate chiller this makes the change to clean out so easy. Highly recommend and worth the money in the long run.
