Strainer handle isn't very sturdy if your holding it by the handle full of fruit.

This strainer is perfect for filtering out your wort when dumping into a plastic fermentor... It sits perfectly on the top of a 6.5 gal bucket and does a great job of pulling out the bulk of the hops sediment from your boil. Strongly recommended for the brewer using plastic for primary fermentation!

Removes LOTS of junk

I just finished using this strainer on my batch of beer, and was very pleased with the results. After brewing, I poured the wort through this strainer while aerating my wort. You wouldn't believe how much junk it keeps out of the primary fermenter. I rinsed it, and even used it twice to really filter the wort.
It is made of quality materials and feels strong, which justified the seemingly high price. Recommended highly.

This strainer is perfect for homebrewing. It fits and covers all of the bucket that comes with homebrewing kit. Got the hop matter out. Worked a lot better than the smaller, single mesh strainer I had been using.

This strainer fits perfectly over most any plastic fermentor. It removed a whole lot of debris from my wort, and seemed to help with aeration. The price is a little high, but it is quite sturdy, and does a very thorough job.

Practical homebrew tool

The size and performance of the strainer makes it a worthy addition to my homebrew tools. Performs much better than the large funnel type strainer I have used for 25 previous batches. The extension prongs around the strainer make it convenient to rest on top of the Midwest Ale Pails use for primary fermentation. Strainer traps leaf hops which then act as an additional layer to filter out other particuates. I also like the idea that the stainless steel mesh is fairly tight (more holes) and likely will give additional aeration to the cooled wort, giving yeast the oxygen for growth (they need) before switching over to anaerobic ethanol production (we need!). Recommended addtion to make your brewing effort easier.

Double mesh screen strainer is great for straining both pellet or leaf hops. Also great for straining any other ingredients when transfering wort into fermentor.

This is about the best strainer I've seen available at a brewing store. The only thing better is a china cap at a kitchen store for 100$ +
