Cheap and Easy!

Easy to use but more difficult to read compared to specific brewing ph paper. Great price and cheaper than beer or wine ph paper but still gets the job done.

Range too broad for wine

Supports testing the entire range of pH at a very high level. Not nearly specific enough to test wine.

Seems off

The readings seem off a tenths of a Ph, and the range is rather broad. For wine there is no need for this broad a Ph range.

Good for general information

These ph strips aren't made specifically for brewing, and so will only give you general information about the conditions.
These strips are also cheap, so function just fine for what I use them for: namely checking mash ph.
While I won't know the exact mash Ph, as long as the strip stays in the light orange range I know to stay full steam ahead. So far have not had any mash issues.

Useful, but not very useful

The price is great and the test strips are great for measuring pH values at a high level. Because the scales are so largely spaced, these papers can't be used for fine adjustments.

I use these to judge the pH of my sanitizer. I use half a sheet at a time and it is a good way to know if your StarSan is the right concentration (pH < 3).

The range of the pH bands is too wide

The price is good, but I think the bands are too wide. If they were narrower it would be a lot better. Next time I will get pH paper for specific purposes (i.e brewing range)

Good Price, but Too Broad

I wish I would've sprung for the more specific, beermaking pH Paper, but at a third of the price, I went with this one instead. The readings are very difficult to tell the difference. Anything I've ever brewed with these tests at "yellowish," so at least you'll know when you're in the general ballpark.

Of moderate use

The strips give you a general idea, and can be of use if you have no idea how hard your water is, or how acidic your grain is. But the range is too wide so that you can be outside the recommended range and not realize it. The result is your beer might not taste as good as it could. It will still be drinkable but why go to the effort of measuring pH unless you get an accurate number?
