For my cider making I've tried several yeasts and always come back to this. Even young, the cider tastes good.

Superior yest for Ciders

I make cider, and of all the yeast cultures I 've tried, this is the best. You can taste the fruit once its done fermenting. It prefers a little warmer environment than some other yeasts, so i try and keep it at 70 degrees.

This was my first time using a liquid yeast and its hard to ever see myself going back to the dry packets. This yeast was phenomenal and literally makes your product tasting like a professional tasting cider. I used a general purpose dry yeast and this yeast side by side for two batches of cider, they are miles apart and the white labs is certainly worth the few more dollars. Highly recommended.

Apple Ale - leaves a good apple aroma

I make apple cider but I recently used this in an apple beer. It came out well, and I was impressed with the job this yeast did. I added the cider to the secondary and the yeast turned it to alcohol, but left a nice apple flavor and aroma. I kept it at 69 degrees, for the full months of primary and secondary.

I have made quite a few ciders with this yeast and they have come out wonderfully every time. A dry cider, a malted cider, a maple & brown sugar cider all with a great apple flavor and the perfect amount of residual sweetness left over.

Try it in a graff!

This makes a very apple-tasting brew. Great in a cider if you want the pure apple flavor to shine through. If you're looking for a less fruity tasting brew, try something else. If you do an apple beer or a graff, this can do funny things with the hop flavors, so experiment a bit.

used this to make a 6 gal batch of Edwort's apfelwein. Fermentation was fast and complete. It leaves a good mild apple taste behind when it's finished, only gets better with age.

I used to think the yeast doesn't matter for Cider, but it does. This tastes really good. It lets the apple flavor come through. I like the taste of the cider from this yeast better than any I've tried.
