The grape vines we offer have been developed to survive and flourish in the frozen north but will also thrive in many growing climates.

These varieties have been developed at the University of Minnesota and by other northern grape breeders, to withstand harsh cold winters many V. vinifera varieties cannot handle without proper winter protection. These varieties can withstand seasons that drop down to -32°F. Some varieties can even withstand lower temperatures! Don't let any of this keep you from growing in warmer climates. Just make sure that the vines are planted in an area that gets full sun.
