South Africa's signature grape, created there in 1925. Pinotagehas the best of both its parents; delicate and balanced like a Pinot noir, with the hardiness and robust color of Cinsault. Deep intense ruby color with purple highlights. Layered aromas of raspberry, spices, red cherry, and fruitcake give way to rich complexity of flavors including raspberry, vanilla, plums, coffee. Smooth on the palate, easy drinking.
