6 months agoStrong and heat resistantIts expensive but doesn't deform. I use a section to carry hot water from my HLT to the mash tun. Since it doesn't carry wort, there are no bacterial agents to worry about and it will last forever for my needs.September 19, 2013Special purposeIts expensive but perfect for the critical spot in which I use it. I use it for one purpose, to transport the very hot water from my hot liquor tank to my mash tun. I have the tank mounted higher up so i get some pressure and don't want the hose to sag. _x000D_December 26, 2013Doesn't sagIt can handle the high heat from the hot liquor tank to the mash tun, and when being pumped through my plate chiller after flame out. No sagging.February 28, 2014Worth the cost!I bought this tubing about 5 years ago after having problems with silicone tubing pinching and stoping my pump when trying to transfer the wort to my brew pot. I have been using this tubing ever since. Yes it is costly but they last and are hassle free.July 10, 2015

Browse 5 questions Browse 5 questions and 11 answersWe have a counter flow chiller and push silicon tubing onto the ends of the copper tubes. The silicon stretches so it creates a good grip on the copper. How well would this hose work for the same application? Is it stretchy enough to force over the copper tube to create a tight grip?BEST ANSWER: This should work well for your application. It does have a bit of stretch, but not so much that it would easily come off as it is quite grippy. I use this on a 5-7 gallon per minute bottle filler, and while I do secure it with clamps (just in case), it has stayed on without them (replaced line, clamp broke and didn't have a spare, ran for a few days like that). Is 1/2" the ID or OD of this hose?BEST ANSWER: The Id is 1/2 inch the OD is 0.8 inches. the wall thickness is 0.15 inches. Is this tubing peroxide or platinum cured?BEST ANSWER: I have no idea...
