DetailsPurpose-designed from head to toe, Big Mouth Plastic features improved strength and durability through a decreased base diameter, punted bottom and 3” thick anti-flex ribs. Equipped with a taller body and smaller footprint, Big Mouth Plastic is ultra-storeable, fitting easily inside a standard bucket to take up less precious brewing space. Constructed from food-grade PET, Big Mouth Plastic features gallon graduation marks for instant volume measurement, plus a punted bottom to efficiently settle out yeast and promote crystal-clear finished fermentations. And, of course, its revolutionary wide mouth eliminates glugging and enables hands-on cleaning for a faster, cleaner clean. Finally, get your hands wet.
The new Big Mouth Universal Lid (included) fits all Big Mouth Bubbler® Fermentors, and has ribbed silicone rings ensure a completely air-tight seal. Upgrade to a dual-port lid plate for continuous thermowell monitoring in one port to sustain constant ideal fermentation temperatures and take gravity readings without ever removing the lid.
Earth-conscious design. We have thoroughly planned out every last feature of this innovative product, right down to it’s physical construction. After untold amounts of research into the properties of PET plastic, we fanatically chose to make the Big Mouth Bubbler® with as little plastic as possible while still maintaining a high degree of structural integrity and brute strength. What does this all mean? It means that the impact to our planet Earth is as minimal as possible. We call this a win-win situation. Check out the Plastic Big Mouth Bubbler® for yourself. You will never go back to a traditional style carboy again.
Important Note: Do not fill any Plastic Big Mouth Bubbler® fermenters with very hot liquid - temp should not exceed 140 degrees Farenheit (60 celcius)
You will also need a Small Universal Carboy Bung (not Included) - drilled or solid.
The Carboy Dryer is compatible with the Big Mouth Bubbler® when used in an inverted position.

3.5 / 5.019 ReviewsBad lidAs other reviewers stated ... The lid isn't great... I tried drying the gasket and other recommendations... I taped it down with 8 strips of painters taped :/ I would recommend a conical fermenterNovember 16, 2017Purchased
1 year agoAWESOME NEW BREWING TOOL!Perfect as a secondary fermenter! The attached spigot makes it much simpler than siphoning to fill the bottles! It was so simple I was able to do this outside on my porch with minimal mess!November 3, 2017Purchased
1 year agoGreat wine fermentor!Been using them for 2 years now - I keep 2 working and use a third for racking. Light, transparent, easy to clean by just sticking your arm inside (just keep sharp metal tools away and don't overheat - they are plastic after all and can be scratched or cracked. Convenient 1 gallon markings up the sides make it easy to modify recipes by volume. And, as with all Midwest's products they are backed up by a keen appreciation of the importance of customer satisfaction!May 5, 2017Purchased
1 year agoDoesn't sealThe silicon ring on the lid doesn't seal. I'll be returning this item.April 10, 2017Purchased
1 year agogreat IdeaI love the idea of these, but the fact that the new universal lids do not stay on without some external force holding them down is pretty bad. I read one review of this happening, and figured it must have been a fluke. Better when everything is bone dry, but still pops out
PLEASE bring back the screw on tops for these!works great after adding clampsDecember 19, 2016bad new lid designThe plastic container itself works very well as a fermentor or secondary vessel. The new lid design is very poor. It slowly pops out of the BMBubbler top and leaves wort exposed. If you push it back in, it will suck in the sanitizer of the airlock, and eventually pops out again. Need to redesing it again, it needs the blue screw ring back to the design, combined with the new lid with the silicone rings. I think that would work lick a charm.October 14, 2016WorthlessDon't waste your money. The lid does not seal properly and cannot stand up to the pressure of a primary fermentation even while using a blow off tube. I just wasted an entire brew day and all the ingredients because of this horrible horrible waste of money. I wish I could send the manufacturer a bill for all my brewing materials. DO NOT BUY!August 29, 2016Response from Midwest SuppliesSorry to hear about an issue. You beer should be fine in most cases. But satisfaction guaranteed. Customer service will reach out to you to help!November 2, 2016Midwest SuppliesLid isn't great at sealingI like the BBM 2.0 in that it was easy to maneuver and clean. I have read that this seems to be a notorious problem with both generations of the BBM but their lid is not adequate in sealing. I am currently using mine as a secondary fermenter and sealed it up last night. I went to go check on it this morning and the lid was pushed up a good half inch or so. I had to press it back down and balance two heavy books on it... we will see if that holds it down. Because of this... I'm not very impressed and sure hope it doesn't compromise my great beer I have going.August 24, 2016Needs to be smooth inside. The large mouth is wonderful for cleaning the jug but I won't continue to use them for anything more than the primary ferment because the indents in the plastic capture silt residue then drop it into the wine while siphoning.July 31, 2016Will not sealThis thing sucks. The sealing design is poor, and the lid will not properly seal to the chamber. I am very disappointed that I purchased two of these, and I wish I could switch to their glass version which contains a proper seal.April 14, 2016Response from Midwest SuppliesCasey,
Thank you for your review! I'm sorry you are having trouble with our plastic bubblers. The universal lid with the silicone seal will fit our plastic bubblers as well as the glass. This might be an easy fix if you want the same kind of seal as our glass big mouths but the ease of plastic.
Cheers!November 2, 2016Midwest Supplies
