DetailsThis is the 6.5 gallon fermenter that comes with all of our homebrewing equipment kits, except this fermenter does NOT come with a lid. Gallons are marked on the side of this food grade fermenter to make it easy to know how much liquid is in the fermenter. You could also use this bucket for sanitizing all of your equipment.

over 2 years agogood producta very good product, built very good, will last for a long time.March 24, 2016bucketa bucket is a bucket is a bucket.January 28, 2016Exactly what it is supposed to be.This is a nice fermenting vessel if you do not have the funds to invest in glass, or do not want to deal with the weight of glass. With the additional lid, there is a nice air tight seal within this vessel. It is easy to clean, and the 6.5 gallon variety gives enough head room for a batch slightly over 5 gallons. Overall, this is a good value. I just wish the lid was included with the purchase.March 25, 2014Put Two Together and the Measurements Don't MatchThe bucket is okay, but the measurements on the side are not necessarily good. I have two and the gallon measurements are there is a quarter inch difference between the two. I calibrated them and one is correct, the other is off. These measurements are important! Also, neither one is air tight like the others I have, so I see no airlock action which is frustrating.August 13, 2013The best fermentor and teh simplestThe bucket is the best fermentor Ive used. Its the easiest to use and the easiest to clean. It makes good beer and can be left alone for a month without a problem._x000D_Simple is best.July 25, 2013a good extra fermentorI use this when my 6.5 gallon carboy is full. I like that it is wide open in the top which makes it easy to dry hop. However, I prefer glass over plastic. I would recommend to the brewer on a budget. It will spell like hops for a long time and doesn't seem to go away no matter how much you scrub.July 23, 2013My favorite primaryGreat for primary fermentation. Well made and use to transport. Must be careful when washing Or stirring to avoid scratching, but that's with any plastics.July 14, 2013good quality fermentation bucketThis bucket has worked well for over 2 years now._x000D_Works great for 5+ gal for most beers, but my higher gravity beers tend to blow out of it.May 7, 2013Stinks!Literally, it smells bad. Used it for two batches and I cannot get t he odor out. I am a little concerned it will affect the taste of future batches. Any advice on how to deodorize it would be helpful. Otherwise, I am switching to glass or better bottles. _x000D__x000D_Also, the lid doesn't form a tight enough seal and gasses can escape, so I don't get any airlock activity. Not a big deal, but it would be nice to know without opening it if fermentation is happening.April 6, 2013
