As opposed to simple citric acid, this gives a bit more well rounded acid to your wine. Recommended, especially if you will be doing fruit wines.November 30, 2012Saves me the hassle of measuringIf I had to mix up the acid myself, I'd need a precision scale, and have to spend the time measuring in grams. this is much easier and works well.December 11, 2012works fineThis acid blend does a good job of reaching the pH you want in your wine. If you are making fruit wines consider using this. I prefer this to Citric acid which has a more noticeable taste._x000D_March 16, 2013for advanced wine makersIf you know what you are doing, this si a good blend. Its a good way to adjust pH and get a good blend of acids so your wine avoids harshness. Its a more well rounded acidity.August 31, 2013Mead and Melomel additionI add the acid at bottling time. Depending on whats in the Mead I vary the amount I use. I take 4 ounces and a scientific scale and measure out powder in Centigrams and mix it in till I'm satisfied with the taste. Start small with a sample, then scale up. Don't be afraid to under use the acid. Next time you can add more, but you can't take it out, unless you start adding more chemicals.November 19, 2013Excellent product.Tis product is exactly what my wine was needing. I do suggest that you get the larger offering as a 5 gallon batch will quickly use upthe smaller amount. Very good product.February 11, 2013Ease of useThis is so much easier to use than having to weigh miniscule amounts of 3 acids myself. Very easy to use, and especially useful if you make fruit wines.April 19, 2013easy to useIt saves me the trouble of mixing up the blend myself, plus I'd need a micro gram scale which I dont have. Buy the larger package because it's a better deal.June 1, 2013ConvenientThis is a good blend of acids, and gives much better results than using just one. It's convenient to measure out and use. I use it for Mead and fruit wine.August 1, 2013wine makingConvenient._x000D__x000D_Anytime you are dealing in units of 1 gram or half a gram, it's easy to be off and make a bad mixture. I'm more than happy to have this measured out for me, at a cost savings to boot, and get it don't right. This way I don't need to buy 3 bags of different acids that I'll never use up.October 10, 2013
