Easier than mixing 3 individual acid powders
A good way to adjust pH and get a good blend of acids so your wine avoids harshness. Its a more well rounded acidity, and will improve certain wines.

Easy to use
Its a good blend, and easy enough to measure. I don't add it all at ounce, I add, and taste and repeat until its just right. _x000D_If I had to measure fractions of a gram of three acids myself it would be a pain in the neck and I doubt I'd be accurate enough.

Mead and Melomel addition
I add the acid at bottling time. Depending on whats in the Mead I vary the amount I use. I take 4 ounces and a scientific scale and measure out powder in Centigrams and mix it in till I'm satisfied with the taste. Start small with a sample, then scale up. Don't be afraid to under use the acid. Next time you can add more, but you can't take it out, unless you start adding more chemicals.

wine making
Convenient._x000D__x000D_Anytime you are dealing in units of 1 gram or half a gram, it's easy to be off and make a bad mixture. I'm more than happy to have this measured out for me, at a cost savings to boot, and get it don't right. This way I don't need to buy 3 bags of different acids that I'll never use up.

Convenient
This is a good blend of acids, and gives much better results than using just one. It's convenient to measure out and use. I use it for Mead and fruit wine.

Easy Peazy
This acid blend works well and is easy to use since it is pre-mixed for you.

easy to use
It saves me the trouble of mixing up the blend myself, plus I'd need a micro gram scale which I dont have. Buy the larger package because it's a better deal.

Ease of use
This is so much easier to use than having to weigh miniscule amounts of 3 acids myself. Very easy to use, and especially useful if you make fruit wines.

BEST ANSWER: It depends on your current total acidity (TA) and what you're going for. Is this in wine making? Beer? "Other"? I recommend Googling the following: 5 Things You Should Know About Acid Blend and click the link that pops up top. The 5 suggestions listed should answer your question.
can this be substuted for tannin ?
A shopper on Jan 12, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I think not - it is only to increase the acidity, to insure the proper crispness to the wine - tannin is for another purpose altogether.
Does your acid blend contain L malic or D malic acid?
A shopper on Mar 12, 2017
BEST ANSWER: It just says malic acid. Does not specify
