DetailsThis complex, bold wine displays classic Cabernet structure. It’s full-bodied and powerful, but never jammy or soft, like some Australian Cabs. Vanilla accents gorgeous cassis fruit and an appealing aroma of plump blackberries, sweet vanilla and fresh violets with subtle notes of cherries and pepper spice and a tremendous backing of tannin and structure that will last both on the palate and in the cellar.
With the fruit and the oomph to stand up to bold flavours, pair this wine with braised short ribs, grilled Portobello mushrooms, or an herb-crusted butterfly leg of lamb.

5.0 / 5.03 ReviewsIt’s already good and it hasn’t even aged yet!!!I just finished with fermentation. The wine is now resting for the recommended 42 days. I tried it before it went into the carboy and am already impressed. I can’t wait to bottle this and let it age. It can only get better.May 27, 2019Purchased
1 month agoNow that it has aged a littleAfter 11 months it is as described. I have shared a couple of bottles with family and they want more. It is my first born, and I can't let them leave the house. Can't wait until Christmas to open another bottle.December 5, 2016My first attempt at wine makingThis is my first kit, and i was a little skeptical of my ability to make wine, and waiting so long to see the results. I did a taste each time I got a hydrometer reading and was afraid it would turn out to oaky. Yesterday, I filtered the wine and now it is resting a couple of days before I bottle it. I was pleasantly surprised by excellent taste, knowing that it will only get better in the bottle. Either I was lucky, or the kit will make a master vintner out of anyone.January 22, 2016
