My favorite style beer!
One of my favorite brews. My 4th time brewing it. I double up on the Belgian candy sugar for a little more ABV. Always a hit with friends and family.

What yeast should I use to get the most authentic flavor for a Belgian Dubbel?
A shopper on Dec 10, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Cloning a yeast strain from chimay would give the most authentic flavor but for a more simple version I have brewed this kit 4 times and I always upgrade to the liquid yeast recommended by Midwest. I think it’s the abbey ale yeast. It always turns out great and the flavor is consistent each time. My favorite style. I double the Belgian candy sugar to 2 lbs to up the ABV.
