Ramp Rate in °F/minute = 0.0068 X Watts / gallonsCan I use this to mash brew in bag and maintain temperatures? Is there a fals bottom for those? What set up do you recommend?BEST ANSWER: Grain will impede convection in this kettle, so using a Boilermaker with Boil Coil is not recommended. You can't have a false bottom installed on a kettle with a Boil Coil installed.
Another route that would get you closer to what you are trying to do would be to use a standard Boilermaker kettle, and recirculate your wort (or hot liquor water) through a RIMS Rocket, or similar setup. How many amps does the 10 gal unit draw?BEST ANSWER: Thanks for contacting Midwest Supplies. I understand you wish to know the amperage of the Electric Boilmaker. The seven gallon kettle is 20 amps and the 10 gallon kettle is 30 amps. Cheers! -Deanna, staff
