I used it to make 5 gallons of home grown peach wine. I know...it's red wine yeast...but. After only 10 days, not 3 weeks the yeast was exhausted. I measured SG and did the calculation...alcohol 15.5% ! I highly recommend... worth the $.

I used Wyeasy 4946 to get a “stuck” mixture get movin again. Its working overtime and it looks like I’m getting 6 gallons of wine instead of compost fodder. Thank you MIDWEST!!!

Excellent results on high brix grapes
With a late harvest from my zinfandel vineyard in Sonoma, I had sugar levels that were a concern, 26.25 Brix. This yeast worked well and the flavor profile was excellent

does this packet have all of the yeast nutrients and additives to ferment 6.5 gallons?

BEST ANSWER: This packet is designed to inoculate 6 gallons of must. It does contain an activator, but this does not replace yeast nutrients.
