DetailsAged on Bourbon-soaked American oak, flavors of coffee, vanilla and caramel intensify into a blizzard of dark fruit, toasted oak and whiskey.
The jet-black body is blanketed in a dirty coffee-cream colored head that offers aromas of smoky, burnt biscuit and a touch of wood on the nose. Robust roasted malt character accumulates alongside caramel sweetness and hops for an intense yet refined flavor profile.
Wonderfully balanced, Bourbon Barrel Porter is smooth and full-bodied, cellaring well for an increasingly complex and satisfying brew.

8 months agoGreat bourbon oak flavor enhanced into a heavy duty intense porterThis is my third batch, first was extract/ mini mash , second was an all grain and from tasting both I can’t really tell a huge difference in taste. When advertised as “ Probably the best beer ever made “ or something like that, I have to agree!December 6, 2018Purchased

Browse 1 question Browse 1 question and 2 answersWhats the final ABV on this kit?BEST ANSWER: 2017: 5.5%, 2018: 5.2% By request, I make a porter or stout for when the family all gets together at Christmas. This brew, first made in 2017, got rave reviews from "our people," hence, its 2018 encore. Prior years I made the Snow Plow and Power Pack Porters.
