4.8 / 5.018 ReviewsRecipe bookYou can learn the different beer styles by making them one by one going through this book. The best recipes are very good, the worst are still good. Plus it's fun making them and reading the commentary.March 9, 2014Good RecipesI was expecting a little more than mainly recipes when I got this book. I have tried 3 recipes and all have been excellent so still a worthwhile book.February 25, 2014get exposed to different stylesIts not just a recipe book. By going thru the book and brewing each of the recipes, you get a better understanding of what makes each style special.January 9, 2014Awesome collection of recipesIts great to have a few recipes for each style, in order to learn them. I like the IPAs , the stouts were just ok, the black forest stout was good, as was the Blonde ale.November 26, 2013Learn how to brew different stylesIts more than just a recipe book because for each style, Jamil explains extra steps to do or what to look out for. I refer back to this book when making other recipes.September 28, 2013Great recipe book and style bookI learned the styles by making them one by one going through this book. The best recipes are very good, the worst are still good. Its a win-win proposition.September 9, 2013Good set of recipesI've made 5 beers from this book so far, all have been very good to excellent. Each recipe is representative of a style, so if you like it, you can search for other recipes. The book has a lot of recipes, and they are easy to make.June 22, 2013A nice assortment of good and varied recipesThe recipes are good, but in addition, there is one or more for each style, so you can really work your way through the book and enjoy it. Its suitable for both all grain and extract brewers.May 19, 2013One of the best recipe books I ownThis is more than a recipe book - there is a brief discussion of the style and what to look out for. The recipes are very good, but the advice on the style is also valuable. I find this type of book far better than a simple cloned recipe book.March 26, 2013Best Recipe BookAt first I thought I had no use for this book. I didn't want to brew the same recipes everyone else was brewing. But this has become my go-to for every beer I make. There is a reason everyone brews JZ's recipes: because they are great! Lots of people win competitions with these recipes and I have not run into a poorly constructed beer.March 3, 2013
