1 month agoWheat DMEI have used the 3lb wheat malt extract to raise the alcohol level in the Honey Beer Kit. It took the initial specific gravity to 1.090 and finished out at 1.012. Should be a very good brew. It does leave a haze in the beerOctober 19, 2018Purchased

over 2 years agoMarch 29, 2016Good wheat flavorI've made good wheat beer using this extract, to the point that even for all grain I will use this DME if I don't have any wheat on hand. Wheat is harder to work with anyway so this is a good alternative for all grain brewers.March 18, 2014Perfect for occasional wheat brewersI mostly brew all grain and don't keep wheat in stock. With the DME I can conveniently use the amount I need to add the pound or two the recipe calls for._x000D_The flavor is good and I wouldn't notice a difference if I used wheat grains instead._x000D_It will stick to anything so don't pour it directly into the boil or it will cling to the sides, pour it first into a measuring cup, then dump it in.January 6, 2014good for wheat based beersNo messing around with wheat or malted vs unmalted varieties - this is all done for me. I can and have, made some pretty good wheat beers using this as my base. It also makes a nice creamy head that lasts a while.October 17, 2013bavarian wheati like to use it in my wheat recipes. Has a good color and flavor. Body of the beer is good with this DME.September 7, 2013made a great wheat beerI have only tried this once and I loved how it came out.
