4.1 / 5.016 ReviewsGreat little pH meterI purchased this pH meter for my cheesemaking and it works like a charm. It's acurate and easy to use. Be sure to calibrate it before using by also purchasing the 7.01 and 4.01 buffering solutions you don't have these solutions on-hand. This unit is also very easy to clean and sanitize for the strict cleanliness conditions required by cheese-making AND brewing.October 19, 2012testerI use it for my wort....works great!May 29, 2013Its lasted 2 years so farIts holding up after 2 years of use for both wine and beer making. I take care to store it in its solution so the electrode doesn't fail. Its better than the paper strips.September 7, 2013Good pH meterIts pretty accurate, and is better than the pH strips. I wouldn't say its easy to use, because of the calibration and storage, but it's good overall.December 29, 2013Works pretty wellEasy to use and seems accurate enough. You have to buy the calibration liquids so the total cost is more than just the price of the tester. Its still worth buying, even at the higher cost._x000D_This is useful equipment to have.December 7, 2012AccurateI love this meter for it's accuracy and ease of use. I've told many friends to buy this meter as it is so functional.February 19, 2013good valueGiven the low cost its good value for the money. It maybe off as much as 0.1 but for my purposes that's good enough. Its easy to use though it does need to be calibrated. That means you need to buy the pH 7 and 4 solutions.March 9, 2013Overall, a worthwhile investmentIt gives pretty good accuracy, and is better than the plastic pH test strips that are for sale. Its downside is having to calibrate, and the cost of the fluid. It's still a good purchase overall.May 19, 2013Not as good as a $100 pH tester but it's a lot better than the test strips. You will end up paying a lot for the calibration solutions and it isn't super accurate. But it's still good enough to use. I calibrate it each time I use it and it does shift a lot.July 7, 2013used for measuring Mash pHIts more accurate than the paper strips. I use it to make sure my pH isn't too high (Tanins) or low (which can cause problems with the taste ). I like the checker but it's annoying to have to calibrate all the time, and to have to keep it stored in solution. Useful but annoying.July 16, 2013
