4.1 / 5.019 ReviewsI have some trouble doing the 2 point calibration setup, so I just use 7.01 solution. (it is a problem I have understanding the directions) That said, it works great.November 22, 2018Purchased

1 year agoMuch much better than pH stripsIt's a lot more accurate, and gives better results. The only drawback is the recalibration before each use.March 22, 2014Better than pH stripsThe pH strips have a wide range and seem to be off a couple of points. This meter on the other hand is accurate and helps me stay in a much narrower range. The only maintenance it requires is keeping the electrode wet in buffer solution.January 31, 2014Good pH meterIts pretty accurate, and is better than the pH strips. I wouldn't say its easy to use, because of the calibration and storage, but it's good overall.December 29, 2013Affordable - but high maintenanceWhen you factor in the cost of the liquids you need to keep this going, its cost rises. And the electrode wears out after a couple of years. So the overall price is higher than it appears. If buying again, I'd go with a better model.October 15, 2013Its lasted 2 years so farIts holding up after 2 years of use for both wine and beer making. I take care to store it in its solution so the electrode doesn't fail. Its better than the paper strips.September 7, 2013used for measuring Mash pHIts more accurate than the paper strips. I use it to make sure my pH isn't too high (Tanins) or low (which can cause problems with the taste ). I like the checker but it's annoying to have to calibrate all the time, and to have to keep it stored in solution. Useful but annoying.July 16, 2013Not as good as a $100 pH tester but it's a lot better than the test strips. You will end up paying a lot for the calibration solutions and it isn't super accurate. But it's still good enough to use. I calibrate it each time I use it and it does shift a lot.July 7, 2013
- Customer Q&A
Browse 1 question Browse 1 question and 6 answersWhat is the accuracy of the ph meter?BEST ANSWER: This meter is accurate to two decimal places. I generally go through the calibration steps each time I use it, which requires two buffer solutions, ph4 and ph7. I have found it is best to let samples sit for 20-30 minutes for it to settle on a final reading.
