4.2 / 5.013 ReviewsShould be standard for auto-siphonIn my opinion, this is a must-have for your auto-siphon. This lets you take your hands off the siphon so you can do other prep or cleaning. It also functions to set the depth your siphon goes into your bucket/carboy, so if you have a lot of sediment at the bottom, you won't siphon that up.February 22, 2013Must HaveThis is a must have if you have the matching Auto Siphon. I struggled without this at first. Then I got wise, ordered one and have never looked back. Clip it on and forget about it. A cheap price to pay for stability of your tube.April 12, 2013Helps but would be better if strongerIt helps position the auto-siphon and keep it from sliding down, but by itself can't hold it in place. You still need to hold it with your hand.February 17, 2014Simple and effective. This is one of those simple products that makes a mundane task much easier. Free your hands up while racking. I have both sizes of the Auto-Siphon and after trying it on one, I got one for the other size. It is constructed out of sturdy plastic and holds the siphon firmly at the desired height yet allows you to slide and adjust the siphon down as you get close to the bottom. it just hooks over the edge of the carboy lip (or I would imagine a bucket also) so you can still aim the siphon into the corner as you tilt the carboy to get as much of the last of the wert as you dare.December 18, 2012February 22, 2016Does what it is supposed toI can't imagine using an autosiphon without this. If you don't have a brew day assistant, then this will hold the siphon for you. I recently upgraded to a 1/2" auto siphon (which has never worked right, but that is a separate review), and bought this too.April 7, 2014It does the jobAs mentioned in other reviews, it does the job but it's kind of weak. It is a requirement for the Ale Pale to avoid falling in. Still useful for carboys to avoid upsetting the sediment.February 11, 2013Okay for the Ale PailWorks great on my glass carboys but not so hot on the ale pail. Definately worth it for the carboy though so you don't upset the yeast and trub on the bottom.March 27, 2013OK - Used for alternate purposeUsed to secure mash recirc line to pot to prevent sliding back out of the top of the pot. Worked decently well for not being designed for that purpose - did not always hold silicone tubing when temperatures reached proper mashing range.September 24, 2013Needs to be strongerThe clamp helps a little, but it would be a lot better if it was a lot stronger. When the beer is flowing the weight of the tubing tugs it to one side and it comes off the bucket. For better bottles and carboys its better, add another star.November 14, 2013
