Hi my wine is still waiting to be bottled. The problem I had was the directions were not included and some of the ingredients were from china. Last time I used this wine it was great and the directions were included. It just seems scetchy to pay for those wonderful French grapes and add Chinese ingredients. I probably will not order again for those reasons. However, the wine was great.

Made this kit in the past and it turned out very good .

Ordered 4 of the RJS cru select kits this time with the French Merlot. RJS has decided we do not need instructions & do not include them with the kits any more. I use the instructions to follow the kits progress right up to bottling . Not a good marketing plan by RJS .

Wine is in the clarification process.

Looks great and took a little long to complete fermantation.

Excellent

This wine came out excellent! Even freshly bottled I was happy gifting this wine to family. This was the first red wine my sister has ever liked!

French Merlot fermentation

Started the process and found it wasn’t progressing as usual as compared to other reds. I put the bucket on a seedling heating mat and it took off. In the process of waiting to bottle this batch . It has cleared very well. I will bottle it in a few days.
This is a trial run for us. We used to drink a lot of Merlot, but have migrated to other reds. We will wait a couple of months before we pop the first cork and revisit and old friend.
