A new kind of brew pump, Steelhead 2.0® has been completely redesigned for brewing. Featuring a no-maintenance brushless motor, Steelhead 2.0® runs on 24V DC, eliminating the risk of AC current near your brew house. Not only is Steelhead 2.0® a safer pump, the motor is virtually silent. Small and lightweight, the pump body takes up less space and can be disconnected from the power supply at any time. The all stainless steel pump head features standard ½ NPT ports and a magnetic impeller allowing the use of a valve for flow control. Now including a Mounting bracket to mount your pump like a pro!
Like other brew pumps, the Steelhead 2.0® is not self-priming. For best results, position the pump below the level of your kettle and allow the pump head to fill with liquid before turning on the pump.
The included mounting bracket allows you to cleanup your brew area and fix the pump where it best fits you. Featuring (2) ¼” holes spaced 4" it'll be hard pressed to find a spot you can't mount this pump!
Adding a 1/2" ball-valve to the output of the pump allows you to precisely control the flow of liquid from vessel to vessel or through a plate chiller. You can even stop the flow entirely using the valve, without turning off the pump and losing the prime!
A set of Quick Disconnects on your equipment and tubing make the brew day even easier.
Don't break your back or the bank, let the Steelhead 2.0® do the hard work on brew day. No more moving large kettles full of near-boiling wort to be chilled or transferred.

Super quiet and seems to move the liquid well. Time will tell how it holds up. Only drawback is that it does not mount on the same footprint of the most popular brands like chuggar or March.
The pump arrived without the mounting bracket so I was forced to build a mount.
Great little pump. Decent cord length. Small design. Very quiet.
First brew day use was a nightmare. Pump was air locked and woulldn't prime. Lost my temps while messing with the pump. Learned that best position for the pump is inlet straight up (it's not enough to just have pump below gravity line). Now it works very well for HERMS, Vorlauf, Sparge, and transfers.
My only disappointments are:
1) Not enough power to Whirlpool a 1/2BBL kettle. It circulates, but lazily.
2) No mounting ears or tabs.
I've seen other reviews mention the lack of power switch, but magnetic drives are designed to run continuous and control / stop flow with valves.
I brew 5 gallon batches with two 8 gallon pots (brew kettle and hot liquor pot) and an 8 gallon mash tun. This pump and the separate hose and fittings kit works well for me. It saves me a lot of lifting on hot pots.
After adding QD and valves, an electrical cutoff and a mounting solution, this is a very capable, quiet pump in my brew setup.
