I generally do small 1gal batches so I use them for regular hoping (just makes cleaning much easier) and have been doing so for years. But got more of these recently because it turns out they are also great to make cold infused tea from loose leaves. Material is great. Basically a must for anything you want to steep that's too much volume for a regular tea steeping ball.
