Product Details

Created in 1971, the Super Tuscan style blends the fine, dusty tannins and tart cherry of Chianti with the bold, forward fruit and deeper grip of Bordeaux. Full-bodied and dry, with farm-fresh raspberries, bright red cherry and blackberry fruit, licorice, and spice complemented by zesty acidity, and a long, generous finish, rounded out with black pepper, vanilla, and sweet oak.

Acidity makes this a natural with tomato sauces and tannin tackles any rich or unctuous food. Try it with Tuscan-style pork roast, lamb shanks braised in herbed tomato sauce or a wild mushroom lasagne.

Super Tuscan Review

I've made this wine in the past and it is outstanding. I can't wait for my current kit to age.

Our favorite table wine. Make 2 batches a year. I do toast extra oak and add it in but that is just our preference.

I Have not completed the wine making process yet. Would be willing to comment later Thanks for asking Charlie

This is the second batch that I just started. The first batch, which I ran through Malolactic Fermentation to soften it, came out very nice. I left it In the carboy for 6 months to complete the malolactic fermentation and age before bottling- very tasty.
