Product Details

The copper brother to our customer favorite Silver Serpent®, the sleek Copperhead® chiller is the fast way to cool your wort to pitching temps! Drop-angle connections prevent tubing from kinking and potential leaks from dripping into your kettle. Make your brew day easier and faster, allowing you to effortlessly brew better beer. Comes fully assembled with tubing, barbed fittings and hose clamps.

  • Quickly cool your wort down to yeast pitching temperature and reduce the chance of contamination. All copper coil construction is easy to clean and will conduct heat better than other metals. No need to sanitize. Simply drop your clean chiller into the kettle a few minutes before the end of the boil and it's ready to go.
  • Ensure secure tubing with proprietary barbed fittings. Eradicate shooting streams of water that make a mess in your brew cave. Do away with ill-fitting hose clamps on misshapen chiller connections. The Copperhead® drop-angle eliminates kinked tubing. No more hassling with propping up water hose. Tubing can now hang tension-free, kink-free and problem-free.
  • Standard garden hose connection allows for brewing outside or connects to a laundry sink faucet as your chilling water source. Use the optional Faucet Adapter to connect your Copperhead® to a standard kitchen faucet when brewing inside. Dimensions: 9 inches wide, 16 inches tall to the bend, 3/8 ID tubing.

It's great quality

It's great if you have a tall skinny pot. I have a 16 gallon pot that's proportional and not tall. Due to this had to bend things around to get it to work. Then due to that it didn't sit flat at the bottom. The copper is great quality but all in all if you have a bigger setup this is not for you.

Copperhead Chiller

Immersion chiller works as advertised took approximately 30 minutes to cool my brew. Be careful to keep hoses away from hot surfaces mine got to close and melted in seconds.

Wouldn't Brew Without It!

I purchased one of these at Midwest Supplies in 2005. Still doing its job in 2022! It is great. Cools down wort in 5-10 minutes, if stirred with my sanitized brewing spoon while cooling. I would not brew without it! HIGHLY recommended!

Should have bought this years ago!

I’ve been wanting this for years, but just kept chilling by filling up the sink and replacing the water repeatedly. This chiller is the best! It took 5 minutes to cool down my last batch of beer. I strongly recommend this to anyone!

Works great

I brew in my kitchen and have faucets that are a pain to detach. Luckily I can run a garden hose from the door outside into the kitchen easily. I have a hose with a shutoff valve at the end which makes it really easy. I fill the sink with ice water and have the hose run through it on the way to the kettle and just empty the hot water into a bucket. This wort chiller is easy to clean and I like that I don't have to worry about cleaning anything on the inside that I can't see.
