Browse 1 question Browse 1 question and 1 answerWhat do I have to add to the base, other than water and yeast?BEST ANSWER: Mary, Make sure to use warm water and just follow directions on the can. 12# sugar,1 1/2 tsp acid blend etc. except for yeast and stabilizer (to be added later). Add water or sugar to get to correct SG. Make sure you let it sit overnight before adding yeast. Again follow directions on the can of fruit, Rack every month 1/2 until clear. I started mine in Nov 2018, Racked 4 times and wine is nice and clear. Should be ready to bottle (and drink) by Easter. EASY as pie. Ron B (Mr.B's fine wine)
