My buddies using a turkey fryer burner are asking to borrow it.February 1, 2016Burner worked great. The burner was a gift and was used this past Saturday. Was twice as efficient as other gas burners.December 29, 2015Love this Burnerbought the Edelmetall burner 2 weeks ago and used it for the first time that weekend. I love the control, so easy to dial in what you need for heat. the power is there to bring to a boil very quickly.February 5, 2016Edelmetall Bru BunnerHave been using this for a little over two years, it has been reliable and heats up far faster that a glass cook top, ??where we began?. It ahas easy taken an hour off our day of brewing.August 3, 2016Edelmetall awesomeFirst of all I just want to say how critical I am about my reviews, If I don't like something I have no problem in saying so._x000D__x000D_Built like a tank actually seen a video where 4 grown men stood on it equaling 980lbs. _x000D__x000D_Like another reviewer I also received this near the end of January with the Smokey The Beer kit, buy the burner get the beer kit free._x000D__x000D_I did not have the flame out (very windy day also )(gusts to 25 and temp was -4) as the other reviewer did (perhaps the air intake adjustment or a different position to the wind) Also as far as the air intake damper being thin (adequate in my opinion), it is made of stainless steel and once set it should not require any further adjustments._x000D__x000D_I used mine on my deck with no scratching from the legs at all. My deck is made of cedar which is quite soft and I take pride in the fact that it looks like a piece of furniture attached to the back of my home_x000D__x000D_The adjustment of the burner works flawlessly, from the smallest of flames to full throttle. You can also adjust the burner to fit your brew pot perfectly with the adjustable stainless steel metal brackets provided._x000D__x000D_Although the hose supplied is somewhat short, in my opinion works fine for my personal use. I don't like the idea of have a long hose for myself, kids, or one of my dogs tripping on it pulling my propane tank or burner over._x000D__x000D_If you're looking for a serious good looking and high performance burner this one will do you proud and by the construction of it should last for years_x000D__x000D_February 2, 2014Beautiful burnerMan it looks awesome._x000D_Its a sturdy burner that's never going to rust._x000D_It performs great (made the Smokey the Bear kit) and I'm happy with it.February 27, 2014Good lookingIt works well and is solidly constructed. So far I've made one beer and despite the winter coldness it's easily able to boil a lot of water.March 13, 2014Great burnerGot this burner so I can brew 2 batches simultaneously. Nice quality, stays lit pretty well in [light] windy conditions. Seems to heat just as fast as my Blickmann and works just as well for a bit less money. I like the needle valve at the base of the burner for fine adjustments of the flame, something that the more expensive Blickmann doesn't have.April 4, 2014In LoveI am new to All-Grain. I went with high quality in the way of burners. I did a batch with a friend a couple weeks before I decided to buy this, and his burner left tons of carbon deposits(he went cheap)... This burner leaves nothing! My wort is at a boil within 20 minutes after mashing, and to get to 170 for striking takes no time at all! I recommend this burner highly! Plus the thing is just plain sexy!May 24, 2014Solid! (and works with natural gas)Loving the Edelmetall burner so far. It's a low pressure unit with a large burner diameter so I bought with the intention of converting it to natural gas (off-label conversion.) The process was very simple - from gas outlet i installed a main shutoff valve, attached a 48" 1/2" dia gas appliance hose, added a second shutoff/regulator valve, then connected the assembly to the burner itself using reducing couplers. The Blichmann gas conversion kit would likely work as well. To get maximum output, with the burner lit I adjust the regulator valve until I have mostly blue flame with yellow tips. Any higher and the air intakes start to whistle and the flame turns yellow. I haven't timed a full boil yet, but it seems to heat water faster than my old torch-style propane burner. After 3 batches there is some darkening of the copper components closest to the flame - I could probably scrub it off but I kind of like it. Brew days are now a little more enjoyable now that I am saving money on gas, don't have to worry about empty propane tanks, and get to admire my bad-a** Dwarven relic spewing holy flame.June 5, 2014

I have a 30 and a 50 I need burners or stands for and need to know if this is up to the weight of those full of wort.BEST ANSWER: We have a 30 gallon and it is no problem at all, I suspect it will handle the 50 without a problem. I believe it provides evenly distributed heat and works well for me.Will it heat up a 30 Gal. Brewer?BEST ANSWER: Don't have the answer to that question, I have a 10 gal and I can get the temp up pretty quick. Mine fits on there perfectly. My suggestion is to put the keggle on the burner with the arms loosened up and adjust accordingly. Make sure the keggle is level! Why can you only use up to a 20 pound propane tank? What will happen if you want too use a larger # tank?
TankBEST ANSWER: Larger tanks are more likely to be for commercial uses, which do not always have the same hardware and overfill protective devices as smaller tanks. Can this burner be hooked up to my homes natural gas supply instead of propane?? Does it still function well in that configuration??BEST ANSWER: There is currently no conversion kit to make this propane burner work on natural gas. The only burner we sell that has that option is the blichmann floor burner - which works great on natural gas. Cheers!
