DetailsThe Fermenter's Favorites® Plastic Bottle Filler is an economical bottle filler that uses gravity to shut off the liquid flow. Simply push the filler down on the bottom of the bottle until the beer or wine reaches the top, and after removing the filler, the perfect amount of head space is created. This bottle filler uses the 5/16" tubing.

4.3 / 5.059 Reviewsworks greatgreat product for the priceApril 24, 2010MessyIt could be me, but setting this down to grab the next batch of bottles to fill would spill beer if the end touched anything. Since the filler is attached to a hose and it has to rest somewhere, I had problems. It came with the kit, but I won't use it again._x000D__x000D_I'm ordering the spring loaded one before I brew again.July 19, 2011Works great, good valueI got this with the starter kit and was skeptical about how well it would work because the tip wasn't spring loaded. I was pleasantly surprised that it worked perfectly. Once I got the hang of it and avoided bumping the tip on the sides or rim of the bottles it worked perfectly with minimal drips. Much more efficient than trying to use a clamp on the hose.August 8, 2011It works as advertisedIt's simple, and simply works. Have used it twice and been very satisfied both times. Fills easily, and every bottle is correctly filled. What more can you ask for?October 3, 2011Saved time and eliminated guessworkBorrowed this from a bud to bottle my wife's melomel (well, I made it, she's drinking it...). Anyways, I practiced using this by filling up my bottling bucket with water. At first, it dripped quite a bit, which was contrary to my bud's review on how well it worked. So, I let it soak in hot water and then in some BLC beverage system cleaner. I rinsed it out by, first, flipping the filler so I could press the tip against the kitchen faucet aerator from which some very warm water was running. After rinsing it out, I reattached it to my bottling bucket, filled a few bottles, and the drips were reduced, quite noticeably. Now, just to experiment even more, I filled my bucket up to 3 gallons of water. The amount of pressure needed to push the pin up was markedly more and the rate of drips was even less. So, more brew in the bucket means more weight/pressure on the pin which means less drips, and keep the tip/pin clean (any gunk/junk that gets lodged around the pin will prevent it from sealing...and will cause more drips). Anyways, it's just a simple $2.75 plastic product. I hope this helps.May 26, 2012Great Tool!I bottle from the spigot for a long time straight in to liter-sized bottles; however, sometime back I decided to start bottling conventional-sized bottles as well and I don't think I'll ever turn a spigot again. Once you get your system down with all of your bottles lined up - you just go down the line, and this little Fermtech bottle filler does the job perfectly, reliably, and it's such a practical, inexpensive investment - every homebrewer should have one. Cheers!!October 25, 2012Simple and EffectiveGot this with my starter kit a few years ago and it has worked great every time. I attach this to the spigot on the bottling bucket with only a couple inches of tubing. Sure, it fills slower than having a longer length of tubing but this helps to minimize overfilling and wasted beer. If you're careful not to bang the mouth of the bottle on the tip, you get very little drippage. I keep a large bowl on the floor beneath the filler to catch any drips. I typically loseOctober 31, 2012Solid PerformerVery easy to use-Leaves the perfect amount of wine in the bottle when the filler is removed. Only thing that would make it better would be to be able to control flow amount when the bottle is almost full. Gotta be quick or you'll overflow! Maybe thats just the newbie in me though.January 18, 2013Works WellOverall this bottle filler works well, it's a little tricky to get the siphon started with this on but once it is theres no better tool for filling.February 8, 2016Very Useful FillerMakes bottling easy and quick. Lightly push to the bottom of the bottle, when your beer fills up to the top pull up. This will then leave you the perfect amount of head space needed for carbonation. It does tend to drip a little bit, just be sure to have a paper towel under the bottles you are filling and you'll be just fine. Never have used the spring loaded version but I would give it a try when this one fails, in the meantime this one is great.January 30, 2013
