2 months agoRubber Gasket/Plunger wears outThis is a nice siphon in that you can take it apart and easily clean all the pieces. HOWEVER, The rubber gasket on the inner portion of the siphon that is supposed to make a tight seal with the outer tube wears out (causing loss of suction) and becomes brittle/cracks. I never had this problem with losing the seal with the"Regular" auto-siphon. I do not recommend this item!rubber gasket wears out, it contracts, losing the seal, and becomes brittle/ cracks.March 3, 2017Very easy to use andVery easy to use and reasonably priced.March 26, 2016

Browse 1 question Browse 1 question and 2 answersCan this be used in a 1 gallon glass carboy?BEST ANSWER: This should fit in the 1 gallon carboy neck as long as you get the 3/8" model and not the 1/2" one. The latter will definitely not fit in a 1 gallon carboy. That being said, the extra length of the tube does make it a bit tougher to manage in the short bottle so unless you absolutely need a single siphon that can do both your 1 gallon and 5+ gallon carboys, I would consider the mini siphon (SKU: 41821) for the 1 gallons and the 1/2" siphon (SKU: 7203) for the big boys. Best of both worlds for manageability and you'll drain the larger vessels twice as fast.
