4.8 / 5.088 Reviewsgreat beerfirst brew ever...came out great ....friends and i love it.....will brew again.....this one is a must buy....great price hereDecember 9, 2012good tasting brewreally liked this beer. i don't always like the belgian ales but this was mellower than most and really enjoyedDecember 9, 2012One of my favoritesHave brewed this beer many times, is one of my favorites.December 28, 2012Good go-to brewI brewed the extract kit, did a late extract addition, and used T-58 dry yeast (overseas, can't get liquid). Used Supermoss, fast cool down with a wort chiller/ice bath, 3 weeks in primary, cold crashed for another 3, crystal clear, no chill haze. It came out excellent, surprisingly complex, easy drinker. No homebrew-taste at all. I will brew this again when I come back stateside and am excited to try it with en even funkier yeast.January 25, 2013really good beerI brewed this kit on 1/6. 1 week in primary, 2 in secondary, kegged and cold-crashed last week. The sample tasted good and I hit my numbers. I dry-hopped about an ounce of whole Nugget hops I had in the freezer, well.. just because. Really added some nice flavor and aroma to it. It's gonna be a great beer! I'd brew it againFebruary 5, 2013very goodMy husband and I chose this as our first brewing experience. It was easy to brew and the results were very tasty!February 6, 2013really good beer kitThis is a really good beer and once on tap does not lasts very long. I have done this kit several times, always used the premium dry yeast with no problems at all.February 8, 2013Great Kit!I just finished up this beer and it is tasting great. I do wish I had gone for the upgrade to liquid yeast, but it still is a great beer.February 11, 2013A very solid Fat Tire cloneI tried Fat Tire next to my version of this kit and although there are some differences, this is a great kit. I made it without any changes and am very, very pleased with the outcome. Would make this again with no hesitation.February 19, 2013
- Customer Q&A
Browse 1 question Browse 1 question and 2 answersHow would this kit work out if fermented as a lager? If feasible what yeast would you recommend. I would like a yeast strain that could successfully work at the lowest temperature value?BEST ANSWER: It would taste similar, but with a more mellow flavor profile. I would recommend either WLP815 or Wyeast 2633.
