9 months agoWorks GreatSeals perfect. Extremely convenient, I have them on all my kettles. Makes brew day much simpler and smoother.December 17, 2015DurableIts solidly built and not only does it work well, it will last a life time, which not all connects do. If you have tubing thats needs to be moved, these are the connects to use.March 23, 2014The Rolls Royce of connectsWhen you take into account that these will last forever and work very well, they are worth it. They get hot so when switching tubing around wear gloves.November 4, 2013Good qualityThese make setting up and taking down go faster. Its easier with my plate chiller since I have to switch water flows to clean it. They're well made, and will last.October 10, 2013I have 2I got them when setting up my first system. They are top of the line. Are they worth the money? There are other quick connects that cost a lot less so if I had to buy them again I'd go with something cheaper.September 5, 2013The best I've usedI've tried several types of quick connects and these are the best. If you are going to spend, spend a little more and get the best. I have them on all my ball valves, for my chiller, and my pump. These are well made and wont need to be replaced._x000D_July 23, 2013Convenience at a priceQuick connects make your life a lot easier, and they last, but they are expensive to buy all you need. This is a better disconnect than others that I've tried. Its top quality, but at a price.May 17, 2013Durable and Worth it. No Leaks! But gets Hot!As other reviews note, these are pricey, but they are very sturdy and very sfast. I've got a bunch of different tubing setups to quickly move from recirculation to sparging to transfer and so on. The female ends due tend to get sticky it you don't clean them right away. I soak mine in some PBW for about 30 minutes. Work the sleeve back and forth to free the goo. No leaks. Ever. If you're moving boiling water through them, let them cool before disconnecting. They are HOT.April 30, 2013Pricey LuxuryThis hardware is a little pricey, but once you spend the money the equipment seems to be durable and makes brew day even easier. A snap to connect and disconnect. I use these on my Therminator wort in/out and they work flawlessly. No drops or leaks unlike the plastic screw on fittings I bought from Lowes. I leave them connected and don't seem to have any issue with liquid drainage (other than what is normally trapped in the chiller).March 19, 2013

Browse 2 questions Browse 2 questions and 8 answersWhat material is the seal made from? Is the spring stainless as well? Do the male fittings seal also?Stainless Steel Female Quick Disconnect FPTBEST ANSWER: It's a ball lock connection. I haven't fully taken it apart to see if the spring is stainless but anything that comes in contact with liquids appears
To be SS.I don't fully understand what your asking but the ball bearings "snap" into place and as long as it's the right diameter and you use hose clamps when you can everything should stay sealed. I did loose a bearing in one and it still seals it's just a pain to get off, hope that helps cheers!Does this have an internal valve to stop flow when disconnected?BEST ANSWER: No. It is a simple coupler which lets fluids flow freely through.
