There once was a homebrewer named Hank. He liked to brew Hefe Wiezens. He gave me a bottle of his favorite recipe one day, a traditional Hefe Weizen. I drank it. I liked it. I brewed it. Now its your turn to brew the legend of Hank.
Ingredients: 5 lbs. Domestic 2-Row, 4 lbs. Wheat malt, 8 oz. Carapils, 1 oz. of hops, priming sugar, and yeast.

The best
Highly recommend! I have brewed this using the extract version and the AG version. Both did not disappoint. I have been a homebrewer for 15+ years and this is pretty close to my favorite.

Excellent Hefe
A good intro kit for new all-grain brewers. It's got just a few ingredients, is easy to brew, and tastes great. Very drinkable, and one of the best kits I've brewed recently.

All grain Hefeweizen
The brew smells wonderful as it came out of the fermentor. The brewing went smooth and it has since been bottled. We like for our brew to sit 2 months before we taste test. All of the other kits have been great....we expect nothing less for this one.

My second all grain batch and it turned out wonderful! Had a party with another batch of homebrew as well as some commercial microbrews and this one was the clear winner! I will be brewing many more batches in the future.

Very simple ingredients, and very easy to brew. Perfect for a warm evening on the deck, sitting under the shade tree.

Hits the mark, excellent
My brother in law, who has lived in Germany and Austria for many years, said, "hits the mark, excellent". I, personally, wasn't sure how to rank it in the world of hefes. I just know its not to hard to drink. I brewed using protein rest, and 2 sacch rests (decoction). Never attempted that before and a hefe seemed to lend itself to this type of schedule. A hectic learning experience, but worth it. Like the first beer I brewed, I wasn't sure I hadn't screwed it.

At what temp should I pitch the yeast?
A shopper on Jan 3, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I prefer to ferment at around 70 degrees. I do not let it get above 73. I'm sure there are others out there that may do it different but this is what works for me.............Jamie
