4.8 / 5.06 ReviewsDark and tastyI brewed this beer about six weeks ago and I just tried my first bottle. I hit the numbers pretty much dead on according to the recipe and when I tased the finished product I was a bit suprised, the FG was 1.018 so I expected a bit more sweetness but this has an almost dry finish. It has plenty of body and really tastes like a good example of a dunkelweissen, a style I enjoy. I really think this kit is a good value for those that like this style of beer.January 26, 2013Excellent kit. Blatantly violates the BJCP style guidelines but who cares!?A a great kit. You MUST use the liquid yeast to even hope to get the proper flavors. Very potent recipe. (my numbers put it close to 7% ABV) but its so tasty.January 8, 2011One of the best that I have made. This is one good beer! But let it take time. Do not drink it right away and don't tell your friends that you have it like I did.(wrong move) Now I need to order and make more. Best buy so far.August 23, 2012deep dark wheatBe sure to use the liquid yeast to get the proper flavors. Also, let set in a bottle for at least 2 months! Beer was bold but tasty!August 2, 2013Perfect summer thirst quencher. This turned out just the way I wanted. (That doesn't always happenJuly 24, 2015Excellent BrewI have a lot of wheat beer drinking friends and gave this one a try to change up things a bit. Great beer with balanced malt character.
