  1. Sterile Disposable Pipette 5 ml
    $9.99

Plastic Pipette 5.0 mL Capacity. One-piece molded of low-density polyethylene. Reusable, yet so inexpensive that they can be disposable. Bellows-action operation permits one hand use. Excellent for small distribution of liquids, mixing, etc. Marked at 1/2, 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 ml. Contains 20 Pipettes Learn More
  2. GH pH Up Liquid Quart
    $11.99

Experienced growers consider the ideal pH for most crops to fall between 5.5 and 6.5. Users of General Hydroponics nutrient products generally do not experience problems maintaining the proper pH range because our formulas are pH buffered. However, some important exceptions do exist. Acid content can reach unacceptable levels when nutrient solutions are mixed with poor quality water, or pH unstable media—such as rockwool and gravel products—are used, and when high plant growth rates destabilize the nutrient mix due to rapid nutrient absorption by the crop. Intended for Hydroponics Use Only Learn More
  3. GH pH Up Liquid Gallon

  7. GH pH Down Liquid Quart
    $11.99

To maximize plant growth, the pH level of your nutrients should be slightly acidic. Experienced growers consider the ideal pH for most crops to fall between 5.5 and 6.5. While almost all Midwest products are pH balanced, there are some conditions which require adjusting: tapwater quality changes, pH unstable growing media, or unusually high growth rates can also destabilize pH. Intended for Hydroponics Use Only Learn More
  8. GH pH Down, gal
    $29.99

To maximize plant growth, the pH level of your nutrients should be slightly acidic. Experienced growers consider the ideal pH for most crops to fall between 5.5 and 6.5. While almost all Midwest products are pH balanced, there are some conditions which require adjusting: tapwater quality changes, pH unstable growing media, or unusually high growth rates can also destabilize pH. pH Down is formulated with food-grade Phosphoric acid. Just add a little at a time if your nutrient pH is too high in order to lower the pH to the proper level.
Pro-tip: Always use a pH test to accurately determine your additions. We suggest a RAPITEST SOIL PH TEST KIT or a CHECKER 1 ECONOMICAL PH TESTER.

  9. GH pH Control Kit
    $15.99

The pH Control Kit by General Hydroponics provides everything you need for testing the pH level of the nutrient solution in your hydroponic system. pH control is essential for stimulating vigorous plant growth. A pH that is too high (basic) or too low (acidic) means that vital nutrients can’t be properly absorbed causing slow growth, sickly plants and low yields. This kit contains 8-ounce bottles of pH UP (potassium hydroxide) and pH DOWN (phosphoric acid), along with pH Test Indicator solution and a test vial. To test, fill the vial halfway with nutrient solution, add 3 drops of pH Test Indicator per 5 mL of solution, and observe the coloration of the liquid in the test vial. Using either pH UP or pH DOWN, adjust the nutrient solution in your reservoir by adding small amounts of UP or DOWN with frequent re-testing to achieve the desired pH range (typically 5.5 to 6.5 for hydroponics). Detailed directions, information on pH, and a pH nutrient availability chart are included. Learn More
