DetailsIrish ales are malty, smooth, medium-bodied, and most, like our kit, are a deep copper-red color that is created by a blend of specialty malts. Our malt blend also gives this recipe its signature toasty and sweet aroma and flavor.
Another defining characteristic of Irish Red Ales are their immense drinkability — definitely a crowd-pleasing beer. Its great taste, drinkability, and low aging requirements make this our best-selling kit.

2 months agoThis was my very first ALEThis was my very first Ale that I made my husband and HE LOVED IT!!! Working, now, on the Stout Kits! The kit was SUPER easy and the beer was awesome!!! I raised the SG to 1.070 (husband's request) and followed all the other directions and they were a success!!! Couldn't recommend this Irish Red Ale any more!! It was delicious!!November 16, 2018Midwest Supplies are the real dealThis is my go to, unless I’m making stout. Got a Dark Cherry Stout and Chocolate Milk Stout & Irish Red next up! Got a Dead Ringer On Primary & Spiced Winter Ale in Secondary at the moment. Kegging as always! Never had a bad kit from Midwest Supplies or NOrthern Brewer. They are my go to for supplies! Enjoy and Drink Well, my friends.....November 15, 2018Purchased
2 months agoTaste great but no BuzzThe ale had a great taste but the alcohol was too low to enjoy. This is based on my personal assessment as well as from others who sampled it. This is not a issue with measuring ABV. I called and spoke with a representative and was told that this was in fact a 'low gravity' brew. In my opinion it is too low and has no value as an ale for that reason. I would not recommend this kit to others and i'm really shocked that it is the 'most popular' kit.November 8, 2018Purchased
