DetailsCreated in 1971, the Super Tuscan style blends the fine, dusty tannins and tart cherry of Chianti with the bold, forward fruit and deeper grip of Bordeaux. Full-bodied and dry, with farm fresh raspberries, bright red cherry and blackberry fruit, licorice, and spice complemented by zesty acidity, and a long, generous finish, rounded out with black pepper, vanilla and sweet oak.
Acidity makes this a natural with tomato sauces and tannin tackles any rich or unctuous food. Try it with Tuscan style pork roast, lamb shanks braised in herbed tomato sauce, or a wild mushroom lasagne.

I got 29 bottles from this batch. I bottled in December and kept the juice on the grape skins for an extra 2 weeks for an extended grape skin exposure. Goes well with meats, hard cheeses, and tomato based sauces.May 3, 2018So far so good! It's in the making ?? Loved the berries and oak chips!February 15, 2017Purchased
