DetailsMaverick Amber Ale is a new release we developed in collaboration with our friends at Half Moon Bay Brewery out on the west coast. It is a robust amber ale with a fantastic hop backbone. The specialty malts included in this kit provide a deep amber color and more than an indication of roasted malt flavor. The hop additions produce delightful bitterness and a floral bouquet.

Was very drinkable after just one week in the bottles. Shared with six friends. All thought it was great.May 5, 2012addictingFrom the first bottle till nearly the last... I'm not sharing anymore.. this was very good, I would brew this again but would add a couple pounds of honey to the boil.July 7, 2012ExcellentThis was my first brew that I made and I was extremely satisfied with it. I have not stopped brewing beer since, I am ready to buy another to brew this again!October 19, 2012tastythis beer is my second fav to the rocky pale ale. great hop taste and aromaOctober 23, 2012WOW Perfect balance of hops and maltThis is the second time I have made this kit. I would describe it as a nice dry hopped amber. It is so well balanced with the malts and hops this kit includes. The Cascade dry hopping really provides a nice aroma and hop flavor. This is another one of the best kits that Midwest provides. I really appreciate the Brewer's Collection Pro series they have added. I have made the BEAVR Nuts, Fulton's Red Ale and Maverick Amber and all have been absolutely excellent, even with the dry yeast!November 28, 2012Awesome!This past fall I wanted to make something with a little body with medium hop bitterness and found a winner with this kit. It is REALLY good; I've received many compliments. I dry-hopped for about 3 weeks, and this made is a little hoppier than some palettes enjoy. I love IPA's, so it wasn't a problem for me, but I think if you dry-hopped for just 1.5 - 2 weeks it might not as intense and would better serve a wider range of tastes. _x000D__x000D_Alternatively, a differnt type of hops with a little less acidity would be good. This beer gives you a good canvas for which you can tinker with the end flavor profile by using different hops in the secondary fermenter. I highly recommend this one. I'll definately be brewing this one again.March 4, 2013Good stuff!Of the dozen or so kits I've tried, this is one of my favorites. I like my beer hoppy, and this didn't disappoint. One week in primary, two in secondary, and three in the bottle. Came out perfect. Not sure how my friends feel about it since I'm keeping it all for myself!April 1, 2013maverick aleMade this with a friend. It has a very balanced flavor between the hops and malt. The head really developed well after 3 weeks in the bottle. A really good beer.May 18, 2013maverick aleThis is a great kit. The results were stunning and became a real pleaser at a family picnic. Easy to brew and instructions to follow.June 2, 2013maverick aleThis turned out better than expected. The color kinda made me nervous, as I thought I messed something up....beer was great!
