Elegant and refined, Master Vintner® Merlot yields six gallons of wine featuring complex flavors of cherry, plum and currants.
Deep, juicy aromas present bright, fresh fruit. Flavorful notes of strawberries and raspberries intermingle with hints of ripe currants for full-bodied yet easy-drinking red wine. Pairs well with red meat, cheese and game dishes. Master Vintner™ Merlot develops prominent notes of smoked cedar wood when aged with oak (not included).

Have my merlot in a carboy, it's only day 25, but I'm planning on keeping it there for at least six months. My plan is to transfer back and forth several times while keeping oak cubes in the infuser with it. My goal is to see just how much of an 'oaky' flavor I can get.- Was this review helpful? Learn MoreBrowse 2 questions Browse 2 questions and 10 answersis this a dry wine or a sweet wine? how can I sweeten it if it is dry? i prefer a sweet wine with a good quantity of AlcoholDo I stir everyday during primary fermentation?BEST ANSWER: Yes, that's recommended. Make sure to sanitize the long handled spoon. I have done that many times with no problems. But be careful. Don't stir too vigorously or the wine can foam up and overflow, depends on the primary fermenter. I use the 7.5 gallon bucket so I don't have that problem.
