4.8 / 5.018 ReviewsWork too WellThese filter pads work a little too well. I used the course and polishing to clear my Raspberry wine after putting in a fining agent, and they clogged up very fast. I went through 12 pads (6 course, 6 polishing) but my wine is beautiful and clear as a bell. They are well worth using the extra pads to get my wine clear.March 18, 2013Using these for yearsI'll use the Coarse filter (#1) after I have fined the wine. Then I'll use the Finishing filter (#2) when I bottle it. The wine is always clear. I feel that using the coarse filter early eliminates a lot of organic material from the wine, and reduces the off flavors they produce while I let the wine bulk age. Between using this filtering, and controlling Sulfites, I've improved the fruit wine flavors.November 16, 2017Clears and Polishes effortlessllyTakes clearing wine to a higher level. If wine is cloudy or you don't have time to age and clear your wine, sending through the filter will instantly clear it. I usually use the medium filter if the wine is already clear. The polishing filter makes the wine color brilliant but unless it is already quite clear, the filter will clog quickly.November 29, 2016Purchased
1 year agoExcellent filtersThese are the standard filters for the Buon mini-jet filter pump. A lot of my white wines had some kind of light haze in the bottles, but since I started filtering using the #2 filter pads, it really polishes up the wine and takes that haze out. The wine ends up crystal clear in the bottles now. You're supposed to use 3 filters at a time but I've found that I can get away with using 2.January 8, 2012AwesomeThey work great. I soak them, set them in firmly, crank the handles down, and my wine is clear. I stopped using the coarse, I found that with filtering agents and racking they were not necessary for my wines. I have only done merlot, white, several meades, and an ice wine. Nothing with a lot of sediment or additional material, but I can tell the pads work. I have not tried using less than two, but I don't mind using 3 as described.February 14, 2013filters wellThe filters are great and make my wine very clear. I can even get away with using 2 filters, so the price is very good.August 30, 2013Been using them for 10Been using them for 10 years. Prefer sterilizing filter.February 2, 2016Using Buon Vino filterBought for kit wine.
